Dr. Tim Grubbs, DVM
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Grubbs graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1994 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he stayed at the University for another year doing an Internship specializing in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. After moving to Georgia in 1995 he worked at the Animal Emergency of North Fulton. Dr. Grubbs joined the Lawrenceville Animal Care Center as an Associate Veterinarian in 1997 and then purchased the practice in 1998. Since then, he has made a number of improvements to the clinic with more planned for the future.
A quiet man, his compassion for the sick, injured and lost shows in the fact that the clinic now houses four resident cats and a dog, Jughead, rescued from injury and abandonment. His hobbies include disc golf, guitar, golf and reading. He and his wife, Leslie, are very active in their church and have two children, Madison and Carson. They have one cat named Aggie and a dog, Napoleon. He also works closely with the Gwinnett Humane Society.

Brittany NelsonHospital Manager
Brittany has been with the clinic since 2009, and became the hospital manager in 2012. She has her Associate’s Degree of Business Administration from Georgia State, and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree of Managerial Business at Georgia Southwestern. In her free time she enjoys going to fitness classes, running, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She loves cats, especially her kitty, Jeffurry.
Teresa VegaHead Veterinary Technician, RVT
Teresa joined LACC in January 2009. She attended Fresno State and Vet Tech College in California. Teresa specializes in dentistry and surgery assistance. She has always loved animals and has been in this career for 20+ years, and would love to retire in the veterinary industry. Teresa is actively involved in her church group, raising her family; her mother, daughter who attends Agnes Scott College, and her two sons. Her hobbies include crafting and making jewelry. She has 4 dogs; Cricket, Bruce, Willy, and Socks, and 4 cats; LB, Ne-Hou, Mahalo, and Thumper.
Suhad El HelouVet Technician, RVT
Born in Montevideo, Suhad emigrated to Atlanta in 2009 to be close to her grandchildren Isabella, Tyler, Sophia & Leah (due to make her entrance December 2011). Although she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, knitting & is a soccer fan, time spent with her grandchildren is definitely the highlight of any day. She loves being a grandmother! Her family also includes three dogs, a cat & a bird.
Andres InciarteVeterinary Assistant
Andres joined LACC in December 2015. He started working in the kennel, and in August of 2016 he started training as a veterinary assistant. He currently attends Gwinnett Technical College, and is working towards his veterinary technician degree. He enjoys taking care of animals, playing tennis, swimming, and spending time with his friends and family. He has a cat named Hera, and a toy poodle
Andrea CopelloLead Receptionist
Andrea joined LACC in September 2015. She is studying communications at Georgia Gwinnett College. She loves the summer and going to the beach, playing Frisbee, hiking, traveling, attending festivals and events around Atlanta. She has two cats, Tuffy and Meow-Meow, and a dachshund named Ned.
Leslye PinnellKennel Mgr/Groomer
A truly welcome addition, Leslye joined our staff in June of 2003. Educated in South Africa she relocated to Georgia to be closer to her passion, Border Collie Herding competitions. An accomplished competitor, Leslye has participated in competitions all across the USA. Leslye and her husband, Jeff, spend a lot of time playing with and taking care of their fur family which consists of Jet, a Schipperke, Cedric the Cat and a Jack Russell Terrier named West. Besides her Kennel Manager duties, Leslye is also our groomer.
Patricia CraigKennel Staff
Joining us in 2007, "Trish" is a wonderful addition to our staff. Trish spends her spare time raising her family and their cat, Aslan.
Ben SkelleyKennel Assistant
Ben has been with LACC since he was in high school. When he began University of West Georgia in 2008, he would come and work in the summers and his school breaks. He graduated with a degree in Business Management from UWG. In December 2014 he came back as a full time employee. He enjoys reading, miniature and board games, painting, video games, and backpacking. He has one dog named Betsy.
Sam NelsonKennel Assistant
Sam joined LACC in March of 2016. He is a student at Grayson High School, and is in the vet tech program there. Sam enjoys spending time with his friends and family, listening to music, playing video games. He has four cats; Stella, Mr. Jinx, Precious, and Purrcilla.
Drue HarrisKennel Assistant
Drue joined LACC in May of 2016. She is studying to be a Vet Tech at Gwinnett Technical College. Drue enjoys hiking, embroidery, and she also volunteers at PetsMart to take care of the homeless cats. She has four cats; Coon, Luna, Blue, and Rashy.
