Our Furbabies

“O.S”

“Oz” came to us in March of 2002 as an eight week old kitten suffering severe damage to her face and right eye. Her owners did not want to invest the amount of money it would take to repair the damage and wanted her euthanized. We convinced them to sign over ownership to us and the soft-hearted Dr. Grubbs fixed her right up and agreed that we could keep her. Although she lost her left eye and her jaw is a little crooked, it hasn’t slowed her down a bit. She is a real hoot!! Her name, by the way, comes from the medical abbreviation O.S. for left eye.

"Tommy"

Tommy was found abandoned along with his sibling next to a road by one of our clients.  His sibling was adopted but Tommy decided he wanted to stay with us.  We're glad he did!

Jughead

Jughead was found in the street with a broken leg in November 2004. After repairing his leg, we discovered that he was “hydrocephalic” (water on the brain). Since he was only 3-4 months old, he was facing the possibility of needing major surgery in the future and it was uncertain what his life span would be. Given these circumstances, that old softy, Dr. Grubbs decided that he should remain with us and not be adopted out. (Not an unpopular decision…..we had all fallen in love with him!) Jughead has recovered from his broken leg and is enjoying life at the clinic. Staff members take turns taking him home sometimes, so he is a well-traveled little boy!

"Juniper"

Juniper was brought to us as a stray along with her kittens.

After adopting out her kittens, we couldn't bear to let her go.  Since we had recently lost one of our clinic cats to cancer, Dr. Grubbs agreed that we could keep her.  She is very playful and affectionate and we love her!

COME BY AND SAY HELLO!!!!
